Although park regulations states that motorized vehicle use is strictly prohibited it is still an ongoing concern.



Aside from having to deal with a hefty fine if caught using motorized vehicles within the park boundaries it also causes a large amount of environmental damage.



In particular snowmobile use in the wetlands causes a large amount of damage (Fig 1).





Other types of damage can be:

1) Toxic emissions

2) Noise pollution

3) Habitat fragmentation/alteration
